Indospace organised a series of awareness camps in mahalunge and bhamboli as a part of its csr initiative to build ‘swachh sundar chakan’

The waste awareness camp held at Mahalunge and Bhamboli village educates the local community about the importance of waste segregation, promotes the 3R (reduce, reuse, recycle) principle, and creates a sense of responsibility toward the environment.

As part of the on-going initiative, IndoSpace recently donated an additional waste collection vehicle to enable regular door-to-door collection.

Mumbai/Pune, March 31, 2022 – As part of its ongoing CSR commitment to create ‘Swachh Sundar Chakan’, IndoSpace, India’s largest developer and owner of Grade A industrial real estate and logistics parks, sponsored a garbage awareness camp. Since 2019, IndoSpace has been running a cleaning campaign in Chakan, close to Pune, as part of the government of India’s ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’.Through this effort, we have spoken with more than 5200 homes and more than 150 businesses over the previous two years. This is great for companies searching for an industrial shed for rent in chakan.

Several local authorities attended the event’s debut at the Gram Panchayats of the Bhamboli and Mahalunge Ingale villages, which was organised in collaboration with SAHAAS, a nonprofit organisation that works in the subject of waste management. This year, IndoSpace also gave a brand-new rubbish collection van to enable consistent door-to-door pickup. Companies that have a warehouse in Chakan are to benefit from this move.

In its ongoing interactions with the community, IndoSpace stresses the value of trash separation, the 3R (reduce, reuse, recycle) philosophy, and developing a feeling of environmental responsibility. The purpose of the garbage awareness camp is to increase awareness about waste segregation among the local population.

Rajesh Jaggi, Vice Chairman – Real Estate, Everstone Group, said, “At IndoSpace we have prioritised our initiatives toward waste management, water, and health care, to reduce the overall impact on the environment. Sustainable waste management initiative undertaken in both these villages is a huge step towards the betterment of the societies we operate in. In addition, we continue to partner with associations and communities around our parks to work together towards the betterment of the society.”
