Modern Industrial and Logistics Park across India – IndoSpace
Over the last decade, India has successfully promoted its top industrial sectors to make them an integral part of its economy. With a rising number of global companies setting up their manufacturing plants across India, the demand for premium warehousing and logistics facilities has also increased. Located in the heart of North India, Delhi, the national capital of India, is a commercial hub where leadingbusiness enterprises have set up their factories and warehouses.
The Delhi National Capital Region (DelhiNCR)contributes4.94% to the nation’s GDP.The service industry contributes the largest chunk of the State Domestic Product (SDP)- about 70%, followed by manufacturing (25.2%) and agriculture (3.85%). The region is a large consumer market, and the abundance of skilled labour has attracted foreign investment, gradually transforming it into an emerging global economic hub. It has also experienced major infrastructure developments due to the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor Project (DMIC) and is a part of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC).
The region accounts for 30.2% warehousing space leasing, with a huge demand from 3PL and e-commerce industries. The Delhi NCR industrial area is home to over two hundred Fortune 500 companies. Delhi and Gurgaon are the major markets in this region and host manufacturing units of several automobile, auto-components, electronics, 3PL majors. Some of the important companies established in NCR are BMW, Hero Moto Corp, Eicher, Hyundai, Asian Paints, Jindal Steel, Essar Steel, Yokohama and many others.
Apart from being India’s largest electronics manufacturing zone, it accounts for 40% of India’s mobile manufacturing and more than 50% of mobile component manufacturing. As a result, it hosts the biggest cluster of Chinese factories in India, along with a prominent number of Korean and Japanese clusters. Automobile OEMs and ancillaries, IT and food processing also have a noteworthy presence in this zone making it an ideal location for business growth.
According to the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) inflow in Delhi stood at US$ 9,443million between October 2019 and March 2021. In 2020, 32 Industrial Entrepreneurs Memorandum (IEMs) with proposed investments worth Rs. 3,710 crore (US$ 507 million) were filed in Delhi.
The capital has a total installed power capacity of over 2453 MW. The region has a total road network of over 24,000 km with one international airport. It is a major point of two important industrial corridors namely Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor(DIMC) and Amritsar-Delhi-Kolkata Industrial Corridor(ADKIC), which extend its reach to South, West and East India.
IndoSpace is widely present in NCR with its eight entirely operational Grade A parks that offer proximity to major industries in the region and adjacent states like Haryana, Rajasthan, UP, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. All the parks are strategically located to enable easy access to important cities along with seamless connectivity via multi-modal transport and are well-suited for industrial, logistics and warehousing operations.
Over the past couple of years, the manufacturing industries of Delhi have expanded significantly, as many consumer goods industries have established their manufacturing units in that region. Benefitting from the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor Project (DMIC) areas like Dadri-Noida-Ghaziabad, Manesar-Bawal and Khushkhera-Bhiwadi-Neemrana have garnered an extensive portion of warehousing transaction.
